About Project

CBD Electrical carried out an LED lighting upgrade at The Concourse in Chatswood, a well-known performing arts and convention venue in Sydney's north. The project involved replacing existing lighting throughout public areas and function spaces with new LED fittings to reduce energy consumption and improve light quality across the venue.

The work was scheduled around the venue's event calendar to avoid disruption to performances, conferences, and public access. Each area was completed in stages, with old fittings removed, new LED downlights and panels installed, and circuits tested before the space was handed back for use.

The finished result is a well-lit, energy-efficient venue with consistent light levels across seating, dining, and circulation areas.

Scope of Work

LED lighting replacement across public and function areas at a major Chatswood venue.

  • Removal of existing lighting fittings
  • LED downlight and panel installation throughout
  • Staged works around the venue's event calendar
  • Circuit testing and commissioning per area
  • Consistent light levels across seating, dining, and circulation zones
  • Energy consumption reduction across the venue

Our Approach And Solution

The venue runs a busy calendar of events, so all work was planned around bookings and public access. We completed the upgrade in stages, area by area, so each space could be handed back as quickly as possible.

Old fittings were removed and new LED downlights and panels were installed to match the existing ceiling layouts. Light levels were tested in each area to get consistent, even coverage across the different zones of the venue. The upgrade was completed on schedule with no disruption to the event program.
