About Project

CBD Electrical completed the full electrical fitout for Coco Republic's showroom at Alexandria, including their head office.. Coco Republic is one of Australia's leading luxury furniture and homewares retailers, and the fitout required precision electrical work to match the brand's high-end visual standards.

The project included installation of feature pendant lighting, track lighting systems, accent and display lighting, signage power, and general power distribution across the showroom floor. The dark, moody interior design meant every light fixture had to be positioned and wired to create the right atmosphere while keeping product displays properly lit.

We worked to the builder's program and coordinated with the shopfitting team to get electrical rough-in completed ahead of the interior fit, then returned for second fix and final commissioning before handover.

Our Approach And Solution

Retail lighting in a premium showroom environment has to do two things at once: create atmosphere and properly showcase the product. We worked closely with the design team to understand the lighting intent for each zone of the store, then planned the electrical layout to support it.

Feature fixtures like the oversized ring pendants and the statement chandelier required careful mounting, structural coordination, and dedicated circuits. Track lighting was zoned across the showroom floor to allow flexibility as product displays change over time. All lighting was tested and adjusted on site during commissioning to get the levels and focus right before the store opened.
